Celebrate National Singles Week right here in Indy:
On Sunday, September 17, 2006, singles in Indianapolis will have a reason to celebrate. National Singles week starts on September 17 and continues through September 23. Locally owned Indydatingagent.com will be celebrating this week with a variety fun filled events and activities.
Unmarried America, a national equal rights organization, has announced that Mayors and Governors throughout the nation have declared the third week of September as Unmarried and Single Americans Week. National USA Week (September 17-23) is a public awareness campaign encouraging unmarried Americans to celebrate their lives whether they are solo singles, divorced, widowed, single parents or domestic partners. The campaign also promotes recognition of the contributions made by unmarried Americans to society.
“We plan singles events based on personal interests rather then speed dating,” Says Shannon Tankersley, Indydatingagent.com. “This week will highlight several different types of events available through our company.”
The week will kick off with a women’s networking event at My Girlfriends Kitchen. Guests will leave with two dishes they prepared and the new friends they meet. Wednesday evening will feature a mixer centered around a game of putt putt golf. Clink your glasses together on Thursday as we toast to singles with a Martini Night at the Broadripple Steakhouse. The week will come to a fashionable end with a mixer for all Single Important People (SIPs) and fashion show at LuLu’s Restaurant & Cocktails. Each event has a nominal fee attached or singles can buy a pass for Wed, Thurs and Saturday at a discounted rate.
